I am so irritated, it just turns back on and goes right back to saying, "Do not disconnect." Any other suggestions!I want it to update it, but it just won't do anything. My ipod is recognised in itunes and it tells me that everything is updated but when I check the new songs etc are not on there. Thank you My ipod continuously says do not disoconnect, and it won't work with itunes I tried connecting it to my pc, I tried everything one the itunes website and the battery meter won't go down or anything. i've tried everything from removing both ipod updater & itunes and restalling, restoring my ipod and resetting it what else can i do????HELP PLEASE I'm not sure what to do if you have a mac, but if you have windows go to My Computer and there should be an icon labled i Pod or something then (G:), right click that and then click "eject" and that should take care of your problem. You may also experience other errors from time to time. This guide looks at common errors that you may experience, and solutions that help you fix them. Apple unfortunately decided not to include an on/off switch which means that you have to know a special combination to reboot the i Pod or turn it off.The i Pod is connected to your operating system and should appear in the list of connected devices.
Other customized settings, such as Bookmarks, On-The-Go Playlists, Shuffle, Backlight timer, and so forth are preserved from the last time the hard drive turned on.Charging the device in high ambient temperatures can damage it further.Even storing a battery in a hot environment can damage it irreversibly. If i Tunes is still running on your computer system close it and see if the message disappears. If that is not the case start it again and click on the Eject Disk icon in the lower right of the screen.
